Your business is full of processes. Known as work
flow or job flow, processes govern how things are done from the
initial contact with a customer to getting paid for the service
or product you've provided.
Over time, new processes get added to existing
ones usually without reviewing the full impact of ad hoc additions
to an existing process. There can be doubling up of information
recording and inefficient recording methods employed. This can result
in costly expenses for your business.
Most of these inefficiencies are hidden from management
as they are not always obvious. It is good business practice to
review processes regularly and see how technology can assist in
the streamlining of our work processes.
Processes can also cover staff Internet
usage, email usage, disaster recovery procedures and data backups.
